Today we would be in the community planting a tree celebrating Arbor Day to honor our caring for trees since 1946. While it’s looking brighter than this time last year with covid-19, we felt it was best not to again this year.
Instead, our team will plant a new tree at our headquarters celebrating our 75th milestone anniversary when our new office addition is complete this summer. Our growth has surpassed our capacity and it would not have been possible without our hardworking employees focused on quality and support the community has continued to show Fitzwaters for 75 years. THANK YOU!

In the meantime, we encourage our circle of valued customers, friends of Fitzwaters and everyone to participate in the Celebrate Arbor Day initiative.
Let’s keep the spirit of tree planting strong. Take a picture of your favorite tree and post it on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #ArborDay. The Arbor Day Foundation will plant a tree in your honor and Peanuts will match each tree planted.
Every Tree Planted is More Vital Than Ever
As a Certified Arborist, my team and I have seen the extreme loss of trees locally in recent years due to the ash borer epidemic. And, the tornadoes that devastated our community two years ago. Every tree planted is more vital than ever.
Arbor Day Foundation has planted more than 350 million trees in neighborhoods, communities, cities and forests in addition to local efforts like ours. Let’s do our part and continue the traditions benefiting us all.
Most importantly, any time we can put one tree back to renew their tremendous benefits such as absorbing carbon dioxide, creating oxygen, food, wildlife habitat, erosion control, shade and shelter from the wind – is vital for our future generations.
Time-Honored Tradition
Arbor Day is a time-honored tradition started in 1872 and became a nationwide program dedicated to promoting the value of planting trees and their vital role in our lives.
Until we can celebrate in the community again, stay safe and enjoy some memories from our favorite annual community event.
